The Blazing Center (Rated: Easy to Lead, 8 studies with DVD teaching)
blazing What Do You Revolve Around? All the planets of your life – from your labor and leisure to your thinking and feeling – are held in orbit by the greatness, gravity, and blazing brightness of Jesus Christ at the center of your life. When He ceases to be the center, the planets of your life fly into confusion, sending a hundred things out of control.  Discover surprising insights about the reality of sin, how your love for God is really revealed, and how only joy in Him will sustain you through times of suffering.   Participants will need a workbook, but you may borrow the DVD’s for free from our library.

Crazy Love (Rated: Easy to lead, 10 studies with videos posted online)

768513From the book: “Sometimes I feel like when I make decisions that are remotely biblical, people who call themselves Christians are the first to criticize and say I’m crazy, that I’m taking the Bible too literally, or that I’m not thinking about my family’s well-being. . . When people gladly sacrifice their time or comfort or home, it is obvious that they trust in the promises of God. Why is it that the story of someone who has actually done what Jesus commands resonates deeply with us, but we then assume we could never do anything so radical or intense? Or why do we call it radical when, to Jesus, it is simply the way it is? The way it should be?”  This is a easy read book, but very challenging to your faith!  Check out the link to watch the group study videos by Francis Chan.

As you look for curriculum you may be wondering…

How do you do a cusix-plus-eight-thumb-730x1152-256rriculum that only has 6 or 8 studies in a 12-week group?

It’s simple really…

If your curriculum has only 6 studies:
One week: Get to know you and introduce topic
One week each for: Outreach project, Communion and Party
Six weeks:  Discussion weeks
That leaves just 2 weeks…  you could extend your study two weeks by delving deeper into it, or you could tackle a couple of topics that the group wants to.

If your curriculum has only 8 studies:
One week: Get to know you and introduce topic
One week each for: Outreach project, Communion and Party
Eight weeks:  Discussion weeks

You can see how easily a 6 or 8 week topic can fill 12 weeks!
